February 13-16th, 2025 is the next workshop I’m hosting in Western North Carolina.
This will be a small intimate workshop in person, at my home garage studio. Fully equipped with repaired-rebuilt classical Pilates apparatus since the devastation of Hurricane Helene to our region and my former studio.
Details on content to come… content will include sections focused on Side Body Strength + Stretch (using all the apparatus), and a section on Grasshopper Building to Inversions (again using the whole studio), amongst other inspiring themes ;)

In this workshop, we will address the topic of Pilates for athletes, as more and more athletes from different sports seek Pilates as a complement to their activity. We will highlight how Pilates principles can improve athletic performance, increase flexibility, and prevent injuries. Participants will learn specific techniques to meet athletes' needs, gaining a deep understanding and practical tools to apply in their training. There will be opportunities to clarify doubts, practice exercises, and learn the best "hands-on" tips for exercises. This is a unique opportunity to meet a teacher like Brooke, with her excellent knowledge of working with elite athletes. For the first time in Europe, we are pleased to invite you to join this group of teachers in a unique workshop.

Brooke is a certified Pilates instructor, having completed her training with Dorothee VandeWalle in Seattle in 2003. Additionally, she has experience as an acupuncturist, bringing a holistic perspective to her Pilates practice. Her training includes a solid foundation in anatomy, physiology, and Pilates training techniques, combined with her understanding of Chinese medicine and Daoist philosophy. Her diverse experience includes training elite athletes as well as students seeking to overcome pain and limitations and maintain a healthy physical activity. Brooke offers a unique perspective on Pilates, emphasizing the importance of mind-body connection. Participants can expect to leave this workshop with unique knowledge, ready to incorporate into their daily work with their students, whether athletes or simply students seeking overall physical well-being, physically stronger but also more mindful and balanced in their practice. BREASTSTROKE & GRASSHOPPER
Friday May 13 - 2pm-5pm - Fire Friday - Advanced MAT workout + FIRE CUPPING
Advanced Mat workout 2-4pm, Cupping + Gua Sha 4-5pm.
Receive fire cups in a community acupuncture type setting plus learn how to gua sha scrape for creating movement, clearing pain, accelerating recovery, boosting qi, and finding harmony in the whole system.
Saturday May 14 - 10:30am -1pm / 2:30pm-5:30pm - Owning BREASTSTROKE + GRASSHOPPER as you advance your reformer & use entire studio apparatus to find these fun, powerful, connected, expansive exercises in your body and your growing practice! Learn also the building blocks to teach these exercises to clients and progress them on your own.
Sunday May 15 - 9:00am - 1pm - Building Big Moves in the body.
Use all the apparatus to get upside down, find big extension, activate the backside so that Breast Stroke and Grasshopper actions are possible every where in the studio (and for everyone!).
