Closing my studio
Big decisions take big courage. I have made a big decision and as challenging as it is, it feels right. I feel trusting and curious. And I know that letting go of being a BIG studio owner is going to allow me to be more present than ever HERE with you! So ~ my preface is that I’m not going anywhere, I’m showing up and diving in deeper right here!
My roots first began as a teenager and an acupuncture patient, I loved getting acupuncture!
Then I did my Pilates training, and then I went to the post graduate masters program for Chinese Medicine, and then in 2009 I put it all together in my small studio in Asheville NC.
Clasique Acupuncture & Pilates Studio. It was just me, and then we grew… I trained teachers, I hired team members, we out grew one space, and then we moved in 2016 in the incredible studio where you see most videos filmed now.
Ahhhh the entrepreneurial life of rooting, growing, blossoming, abidance and surrender… you know its the Five Element wheel in active cycle and evolution.
The evolution is continuous and I am ready to grow in a way that expands opportunity, creation and connection by downsizing the footprint of my physical studio space.
In the seasons of life and entrepreneurial growth, I’m so excited to make this step to simplify and focus in. I want to dive in deeper to teaching you on CoreSelf and making more and more amazing content. I want to dive in deeper to my athlete work and see where that takes me! And I want to dive in all the way to training and working with Pilates Instructors as a mentor.
Always my work is the weaving and the intersection of Pilates and Chinese Medicine, and the creative work of that fuels me in big ways. Which is why it became so clear that owning and operating a big ass physical studio is a season I’m no longer connected to and it’s time to really love that transition and make it happen. You know I love transitions right, and believe in cultivating both strength and ease inside every one of them.
And so, I am closing my brick and mortar studio Clasique in Asheville.
A little back story….
I launched CoreSelf seasonal membership in 2018 and shortly thereafter the custom professional athlete work began, first with WNBA team the Seattle Storm and since has grown to include many high level athletes including the women of the USA Olympic basketball team (yay recent gold medal again!). And the opportunities with athletes and developing programs for athletic teams (high school, collegiate and pro) is something I have been dreaming about for many years. I have found a true love for teaching online and through video creation.
A similar spark happened in this last year as I re-crafted my Pilates teacher training program as RETURN where I mentor Pilates instructors through online training and video content. The incredible teachers I am working with through RETURN are here, there, and anywhere in the world! I have come to find that these connections are rich, the training is meaningful, and the sky is the limit. Through CoreSelf and RETURN I am authentically sharing the methods I love and know so well. Over the past few years I have juggled so many businesses and responsibilities all at the same time, and I’m really called to focus in on my craft.
With much gratitude, deep breaths and self trust, I’m embracing this season that I am in.
